WM Mammoth provides perfect ice at the national ice hockey and curling centre in Füssen
23.03.2022
The national ice hockey and curling centre (BSP for short) in Füssen has had two state-of-the-art WM Mammoth ice resurfacing machines for a few weeks now. The fully electric high-end models were handed over in the presence of the 1st Mayor of Füssen Maximilian Eichstetter, the Head of Administration at the BSP Björn Schultheiss, the two EWR board members Richard Alber and Christoph Hilz and the AST Sales Manager GER / NLD Hannes Schretter.
‘When you think of Füssen, you think of ice hockey and curling,’ says Mayor Maximilian Eichstetter. ‘That's why we are working to ensure that the athletes at the national centre for ice hockey and curling in Füssen always have the best possible conditions. In recent years, we have been able to achieve many improvements at the BSP - from installing new safety boards and mesh ice to converting to LED technology. The purchase of the two new WM Mammoth ice machines from AST is a further step in this quality offensive; athletes and ice masters alike benefit from the machines, as the WM Mammoth offers features to optimally prepare the ice. I am already looking forward to high-calibre events at the BSP, such as the preparations for the U18 Ice Hockey World Championships in spring or the Curling World Championships next year.’
