The first AST ice rink, based on absorber technology, is constructed in Tyrol; Founding of AST Eissport- u. Solaranlagenbau GmbH (Füssen / Germany) and AST Eissport- u. Solaranlagenbau AG (Flawil/Switzerland)

Ing. Bernd Lechner develops the AST IceBox

The Elektrizitätswerke Reutte takes over AST

1998

The AST production relocates from Telfs to Reutte; AST supplies the first mobile ice hockey surface for an Ice Hockey A-WC; AST is commissioned with the construction of ice rinks on the new passenger ships of the shipping company Royal Caribbean Cruiselines

2002

The productivity of AST increased enormously in 2002. 21 solar absorber plants, 5 stationary ice rinks and 120 rental ice rinks were supplied and installed

2004

Equipping of the Figure Skating World Championship in Dortmund. Enjoy the Stars from and with Katarina Witt; AST supplies and installs a 2000 m² large solar absorber system in Uruguay/South America

2005

Founding of the AST Refrigeration and Solar Technology Co. Ltd. (Beijing); AST supplies dasher boards and ice maintenance machines for the Ice Hockey A-World Championships in Innsbruck and Vienna

2006

AST is the ice technology provider for the European Figure Skating Championship in Lyon

2007

AST receives the order to supply more than 70 ice hockey rinks to Russia

2010

AST receives the order for the complete ice technology equipment for the opening game of the Ice Hockey World Championship in Schalke. With 77803 spectators, a new world record was set

2011

AST builds the largest mobile ice rink in the world. In Moskow's Gorki Park more than 15,000 m² of ice is available to the skaters

2012

Seven of the 10 most beautiful ice rinks in the world come from AST

2013

AST is equipment provider for the European Figure Skating Championship in Budapest and the DEL Winter Games in Nürnberg

AST is the ice technology provider for the ISU Grand Prix of Figure Skating Final 2014-2015 in Barcelona

AST takes over the Zamboni representation for the Austrian market

AST relocates from Reutte to Höfen and opens its new company head office there. At the IIHF Ice Hockey World Championship in Denmark, AST is complete equipment provider of both venues in Herning and Copenhagen: 2 x ice rinks, 2 x dasher boards, 2 x refrigeration technology, 4 x ice maintenance (WM Mammoth)

2020

AST is complete equipment provider for the DEL Winter Games 2020 in Rudolf Harbig Stadium in Dresden, Germany, complete equipment provider for the ISU European Figure Skating Championship 2020 in Graz, Austria and supplier of the Long Shot ice rink for the IFI Curling World Championship 2020 in Regen, Germany

2021

AST is realising the all-in ice rink project "Steppe Arena" in Ulan Bator (Mongolia) - due to the Corona pandemic and the associated entry ban, this is certainly the most challenging project AST has ever realised. For its rental ice rink clients, AST is developing the "EasyCHILL" app, its digital ice rink manager, to optimise energy costs significantly. With the AST TechTalks 2021, AST offers its international partner network a whole series of interesting specialist presentations and introduces its new products.

2022

AST signs a long-term cooperation agreement with the Austrian Ice Hockey Federation and becomes main supplier of the two mega stadium events "DEL Wintergame 2022, Cologne" and the "Eishockey Open Air 2022, Hannover". Together with its French partner Synerglace, AST is the ice rink supplier for the ISU World Figure Skating Championships 2022 taking place in Montpellier, France.

2023

AST starts the new year with top marks at the "Winter Classic" stadium event in Bratislava.
