Kaisereis in Bad Ischl
"The Emperor's new ice" is this year's motto of the popular ice rink in Bad Ischl's Kurpark. Situated in front of the Bad Ischl Kongress- und TheaterHaus, that was built in the days of Sissi and Franz Joseph I., it was enlarged by 900 m² and offers now 1.200 m² of pure fun on AST skate ways. City dwellers and tourists from all over the world enjoy the flair of this nostalgic christmas world, that also offers culinary delights in a romantic winter forest besides the rink. Adjacent you can shop for presents at the Christkindl market of Bad Ischl's craftsmen and take a break at the k. u. k. winter world at Schröpferplatz, which is initiated by the k. u. k. Hofbeisl.
To build up the ice rink, five trucks had to deliver 60 kilometers of epdm mats to the old imperial city. Until 24th February you can follow the traces of Sissi and Franz Joseph I. in this unique ice landscape!
